More Mad for you!
This is "Dragged Net!", a story by Bill Elder, originally published in Mad No. 11, 1954, but I scanned it from the more recent Mad No. 4, Summer 1998. It's obviously a spoof of some hard-boiled tv detective drama that I never watched; but after reading this story I feel as though I did!

Ah... based on the old US cop show "DragNet", and it immediately reminded me of an obscure sci-fi strip by Alan Moore (famed UK author who's graphic novel works have been made into many recent feature films).Click any of the images for larger 804 x 1078 version.
I immediately had to go track it down. The "image association" with the Mad strip is striking in places, I think you'll agree!
