I was glad to read this post on Peter Murphy's MySpace, regarding Bauhaus deciding not to tour for their last album:
"Sunday, January 06, 2008A sweetheart. I'm glad that whatever their reasons for not touring as a band things are still cool with them on a personal level. Too many times, once a band is finished, you see the elements say bitter things like they wouldn't want to get together for any price, and things like that. I guess that's what happens in a divorce, but it's painful to see. I knew Bauhaus and Peter were different, but it's comforting to hear it just the same.

All this about the band (Bauhaus) being somehow full of cool attitude by not "cashing in 'by not touring the new album – oh and it's called Go Away White at that!- is rubbish Don't let anyone in or out of the band give you this spin to paint a credible sheen over an album that just doesn't need propping up, it stands well and truly on its own. . I live to make music, and I need money to enable me to carry on doing just that, oh and to eat don't you know,.To pretend otherwise is sheer hypocrisy. And on why Bauhaus isn't touring or together? There's a lot more to it than this 'incident' that I've heard bandied about, in any groups business there are constant incidents, so what! Committing to a being in a band takes tolerance, love, and a massive commitment. I've walked on that stage at times when I could emotionally barely manage to and give it all just the same. If I'd let some disagreement or bad word distract me from that goal then I'd need to question my integrity. Anton Corbijn once related to me how Bono of U2 talked about one of the reasons that u2 had survived was that there unlike many English bands; there was a kinship and priority given to each other as family. I personally sympathize with that.

I love Peter...this was really great to read. Great pic as well. He is still one of the coolest looking guys on the planet.
:) Yeah, and I like him more for his inner beauty, he's a role model for me.
